Maryland and Virginia Milk Producers is a membership organization that markets milk for over 1,600 dairy farmers in ten states - from Pennsylvania, to Alabama. Serving member-owners since 1920, Maryland and Virginia is headquartered in Reston, Va., and has a regional office in Charlotte, N.C. Maryland and Virginia is a full service milk marketing cooperative that guarantees a market to its dairy farmer-owners. A reputation for integrity, service and high quality products make Maryland and Virginia a leader in the dairy industry.
Maryland and Virginia owns and operates Marva Maid, a fluid milk processing plant in Newport News, Va.; a manufacturing plant in Laurel, Md.; an equipment warehouse in Frederick, Md.; owns and operates Maola Milk & Ice Cream Company, a fluid milk and ice cream processing placing in New Bern, NC; and Valley Milk Products LLC in Strasburg, Va., in a partnership with Utz Lake Inc. Together these five components are aimed toward fulfilling the cooperative's mission of providing quality dairy products at fair prices to consumers and equitable returns to dairy farmers.
